Layered with light sources, suggesting overabundance, and covering photographs of the night sky to visualize lowered star visibility, these images show some of our current uses of artificial light.

By placing photos of artificial light over exposures of the night sky I wanted to push viewers to wonder why we as a species are so attracted to light, to question how our shared biology influences our culture, and to show the variety of ways we use and abuse light today.
